While this is a list of frequently asked questions, remember that your Mountain Challenge course will be customized to fit the needs of your group. We will work with you in any way possible to ensure your time with us is a success!
How many people can you accommodate in a day?
The Mountain Challenge Ropes Course can accommodate up to 100 people at any given time. The Alpine Tower is a dynamic team-oriented experience for up to 27 people. Combinations of these two courses increase the number of active participants per day. Give us a call, we can design a course or series of courses to fit your needs.
What is the average length of a Mountain Challenge course?
Mountain Challenge courses are usually scheduled in increments of four (4) or eight (8) hours. We will be happy to work around your time schedule 7 days per week. For advanced training and additions to your company's existing training programs, inquire about a multi-day course.
Are all Mountain Challenge courses provided at your site?
NO! While certain Mountain Challenge courses, such as the Alpine Tower, are located on-site, we can, have, and will travel around the world to provide your organization with an unforgettable experience!
What level of physical ability or physical activity is involved in Mountain Challenge courses?
While some activities, such as rock climbing, cycling, or backpacking, require above average physical fitness, the majority of Mountain Challenge courses used for corporate training and development require no more physical activity than a short walk. We do encourage physical fitness, and we recognize it as an important feature of the well-rounded individual, team-member, or employee. All Mountain Challenge courses are customized in every way, shape, and form - even physical ability. If you or someone in your company is interested in Mountain Challenge, but feels unable to participate, give us a call - we'll make it happen.
How do you "customize" a course to fit the needs of my organization?
Beginning with your initial inquiry about Mountain Challenge, we begin asking questions about your organization. These questions progress into conversations about the outcomes you would like to see as a result of your time with Mountain Challenge. If possible we will visit your company office or plant in order to put pictures with the words that you have provided. We learn the language of your company in order to provide your employees with training that is in line with your previous and ongoing efforts.
Is there meeting space available at your site?
YES! Contact us for pricing and availability.
Do you provide housing for multi-day courses?
We can arrange for off-site housing in hotels, bed and breakfasts, resorts and for transportation to and from these accommodations. On-site housing is available in the summer with several months notice.
Can meals be arranged for participants?
YES! If your course requires a break for a meal(s), we can make arrangements for the meal(s).
What happens if there is bad weather?
If the weather is not sunny and 70 degrees . . . well, then conditions aren't ideal. The fact of the matter is conditions are not always ideal in your organization - but it is still imperative to get the job done. All that is to say, with your blessing and a little extra preparation . . . we'll work in the rain, sleet, or snow. Safety, however, remains a first principle.
Are there restroom facilities on the courses?
YES AND NO? Many of our courses are located in wilderness or wooded areas. Therefore, there are two ways to approach the question. 1.) Restrooms are nowhere. 2.) Restrooms are everywhere.
